Congressman Lloyd Smucker Shares His Views on Higher Education
As the new Ranking Member of the House Education and Labor’s Higher Education and Workforce Investment Subcommittee, Rep. Lloyd Smucker (R-11-PA) will play a critical role in helping shape the development of proposed revisions to the Higher Education Act (HEA) and address oversight concerns the Democratic majority have already indicated that they will be focusing on in the weeks and months ahead.  Given this focus on higher education policy, AACS is honored to have Rep. Smucker come and share his views with us on what we can expect, what we can do to assist he and the other Committee members and the process to reauthorize the HEA begins anew, and enable us to share with him the distinct characteristics of our students and schools that make our community unique so that they are taken into consideration when the new proposals are developed.
